See <a href=\"http:\/\/www.electricnews.net\/news.html?code=9840668\">this article<\/a> for example. In the article they state:<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-left: 40px;\">Using<br \/>\na lesser-known top level domain changes the game and makes it harder to<br \/>\ndistinguish spam from legitimate e-mail by examining the links in the<br \/>\ne-mails.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>They also quote Conor Flynn of Irish security firm Rits as saying:<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-left: 40px;\">&#8220;Spam filters are set up to recognise the well known domains, spam from lesser known domains can slip through&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>I would have to disagree with both of these statements.
